I know this is quite a serious topic on which to start my blog on but what the hell. This issue has been repeated so much in the news and i feel like it's needs to be spoken about.
I don't know if you have heard this story yet but it is the story of Amanda Todd. She was a 15 year old girl who took her life because of bullying. I recently became a member of Cybementors.org.uk where we help young teens with any issues they might have. We discussed suicide because of bullying and cyberbullying and not even a week after my training another innocent girl took her life.
Many of heard of Amanda Todd as she posted a video 3 weeks before she took her life describing the horrible and i mean horrific things CHILDREN did to her. Do they realise what they say does hurt? Stick and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt, is quite frankly a damn right lie. Words fu**ing hurt whoever says they don't are obviously lieing to themselves.
Amanda tried to take her life twice but people still tormented her even about her attempted suicide. I'm sorry but how sick do you have to be to joke about such a thing. I really hope you have found your peace Amanda because you damn right deserve it. I'm sorry how miserable your short 15 years on this earth was and i wish i could give you hope in humanity again but it's too late. I hope you look down on those who hurt you and see the panic and fear in their eyes because they feel responsible and i hope they do.
If you see bullying of ANY KIND REPORT IT! Don't let what happened to Amanda happen to someone you love. We also deserve the same rights in life and Amanda didn't receive it.
